Dana Borglum Wins Morgan-Wood Award for 'LAKE KEUKA'

The American Iris Society, by popular vote of its qualified garden judges, awards the hybridizer of the most outstanding Siberian Iris with the Morgan-Wood Medal.  In 2002, the American Iris Society voted Dana Borglum's 'LAKE KEUKA'  as the very best Siberian Iris amongst those eligible forLake Keuka the competition.  For hybridizers,  receiving the Morgan-Wood Medal is the pinnacle of hybridizing recognition and achievement.  LAKE KEUKA is a wonderful plant and worthy of being the focal point in any perennial garden. The blooms are consistent and the hardy plant increases rapidly.

The Morgan-Wood Medal is offered in memory of F. Cleveland Morgan and Ira E. Wood.  Mr. Morgan was a pioneer Canadian Siberian Iris hybridizer and a founding member of the American Iris Society. He passed away in 1962.  Mr. Wood, and his wife Betty, were very active in the American Iris Society and especially  the Society for Siberian Irises.  He passed away in 1977.
